Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift are back at it again in LA! Find out what these two lovebirds have been up to, and see recent photos and video here.
This relationship took off in a hurry. It all started when the couple was spotted in NYC looking a little too cozy to merely be friends. Before long they were being considered one of the hottest new items in showbiz, and now they are being hounded by the paparazzi at ever turn.
After a short week apart, Taylor hopped on a private jet to LA where they spent some more quality time together at Jake’s home in the Hollywood Hills. The next day they were photographed all over the place, cruising around town together.
At first they really seemed like an odd pairing to me, but after seeing them together, they actually meld pretty well.
Prior to hanging out in LA, they’ve were seen together in Tennessee and NYC. They even took their romance overseas to London, where they attended a dinner at Gwyneth Paltrow’s home. It seems Paltrow has a connection to both young stars; Swift with her country music, and Jake with his acting. Sources even claim she may have helped hook them up together.
On the more wacky side of their courtship, X17 reports that they actually called the police on the paparazzi this week. Apparently they were being followed by overzealous paps through Beverly Hills and Jake wanted nothing of it. Celebrity rumor control site Gossip Cop verified the news, and noted that things became dangerous when they were pursued into a crowded residential area.
Police reportedly stopped most of the rabid paps from getting too close. Sounds saucy.

Family and friends gathered at the Breakers Hotel & Resort in Palm Beach last night to witness the Nick Swisher and Joanna Garcia wedding! The baseball player and the actress tied the knot in a star studded ceremony and you can learn all about it below. Plus there are pictures and a video for you to see.
A married Nick Swisher and Joanna Garcia’s wedding took place in front of 350 guests in Florida. The stunning Garcia walked down the isle in a beautiful strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, while Swisher wore a Burberry tuxedo. These two make one heck of a gorgeous couple that is for sure.
There was no shortage of A-list star power celebrating the evening with the new Mr. & Mrs. Swisher. The wedding party alone included Reba McIntyre, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Lance Bass. Plus Nick’s pal Alex Rodriguez, with rumored girlfriend Cameron Diaz, former Yankees player Johnny Damon and of course Garcia’s new sitcom co-star Jennifer Finnigan just to name a few.
If you are looking for photos from Nick and Joanna’s big day then you are going to have to check out People.com as they appear to be the only magazine or website to have the pictures so far.
The Yankees outfielder and the Better With You actress got engaged last May after being set up by a mutual friend and dating for about a year. Back in November Nick had this to say to Page Six about his now wife.
She is my princess. I just could not be more happy. It’s just so great to have your best friend with you throughout everything good and everything bad.
The wedding of Joanna Garcia and Nick Swisher was full of love and happiness as family and friends celebrated their new marriage with them. Congrats to the newlyweds!
Every season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew fills a viewer with contradictory reactions. On the one hand, we’re saddened when we see the sad wreck that, say, former kid pop star Lief Garrett has become, “not sober since age 14,” as he said last night in the season four premiere. We wish him better health. On the other hand, we witness the appalling behavior of Jason Davis (who? the grandson of super-wealthy mogul Marvin Davis) as he whines about the lack of rehab servants and insults co-inmate Janice Dickinson by saying, “I smell face-lifts!” and we wish he’d get tossed out on his addicted ear. So it goes. Human generosity knows some limits.
The show’s voice-over informed us that this time around, the patients would be “more resistent to change than ever before.” But the show didn’t say the patients would be sadder and more puzzling than ever before. For instance, what was Eric Roberts doing among this bunch? Celebrity Rehab is usually a place where well-known-for-something burn-outs go to procure a wee bit more camera-time with their meds. But Roberts still pops up in big movies (small roles in The Expendables and this year’s Syfy movie Sharktopus — well, maybe his career isn’t in such good shape after all).
If the icky, spoiled-brat Jason Davis was the least likable new Rehab inmate, Roberts was the one for whom I felt the most sympathy. “I’m kind of your standard a-hole,” he said. Yet he was the kindest, most polite celebrity during the premiere, greeting most of his fellow patients with a wide smile and a “Hello, darlin.’” He seems to live in a marijuana-fog of an inferiority complex, saying he’s best known as the brother of Julia Roberts and the father of Emma. Eric said, “I’m a pot-head; that’s the thing I need to clean up.” His favorite term for this malady was “dosed”: There hasn’t been an adult day “in my life when I’m not dosed,” he admitted.
Dr. Drew pursed his lips and spoke soothingly to Roberts and all the other new patients, which also include Jeremy London, The Hills‘ Jason Wahler, and Rachel Uchitel during their in-take interviews. Janice Dickinson provided the night’s most ridiculous quote: “My behavior is becoming un-sober-like because I’ve hit menopause.”
But let’s face it, this entire show is, once again, a sad mixture of the ridiculous and the arrogant. Don’t you kinda hope that, when Dr. Drew’s back is turned, Eric Roberts decks Jason Davis the next time he issues one of his snotty insults?

Well despite having parents in show biz she did not always want to be an actress however as with so many children of those in the entertainment world acting was in her blood. She had talent and gift that couldn’t be ignored.
Although she was born in suburban New York Rabe attended The Hotchkiss School boarding school in Lakeville, CT. It was there that after spending much of her childhood as a ballerina that Rabe decided to give acting a shot and to her surprise she was quickly bitten by the acting bug. That ultimately led her to hone her skills in the extremely intense theater program at Northwestern. It was during those years that Lily also got the chance to work with mother at the Gloucester Stage Company in Massachusetts, where she landed a role in the play Closer that gave a a huge confidence boost at a time in her life when she desperately needed it.
It was only a couple of years after graduating college that Lily landed a role in the Broadway show Steal Magnolias which is where she really came into her own and proved she was just as talented as her mother. Along with appearing in many stage productions she has also appeared in films like No Reservations, Mona Lisa Smile and the upcoming All Good Things.
The amazingly talented Lily Rabe is Jill Clayburgh’s daughter. Our thoughts to go out ot Lily and the rest of her family at this time.
EW.com has learned that pneumatic Jersey Shore star Jenni ‘J-Woww’ Farley, who recently told Ryan Seacrest that she had turned down an offer from Playboy, was approached by NBC about appearing on the new season of Celebrity Apprentice, “along with a lot of others,” according to a network source. The 25-year-old Shore star did not ultimately wind up joining the cast of Apprentice, which includes LaToya Jackson and Star Jones and is currently shooting. Farley recently wrapped season 3 of Jersey Shore and told Seacrest she hopes to appear in season 4.
Farley’s rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
UPDATE: According to a network source, NBC is also in preliminary discussions for a special episode of the game show Minute to Win It featuring the Jersey Shore cast, though no deal has been set. Minute features contestants attempting to win money by completing comical tasks with household objects — picking up a tortilla using swim flippers and placing it on a plate, for example — in 60 seconds or less.
TI managed to save a suicidal man from the rooftop of an Atlanta building today. After hearing about the potential jumper on the radio, the rapper sprung into action. Get the story here, and see related photos and video below.
Despite being tangled up in a legal kerfuffle following a recent traffic stop in Los Angeles, TIP took the time to reach out to a man in need.
It all began when TI heard there was a suicidal man atop the Colony Square building in Atlanta—a building that just so happens to contain the popular V103 radio station. Naturally, the station’s DJs were talking about the melee and the madness surrounding the scene.
Before long the rapper called into the station wondering if there was any way he could lend a hand. They quickly cooked up the idea to videotape a short message from TI, who showed up on the scene shortly afterwards. He briefly summarized what he said in the message as follows:
“I told him it ain’t that bad. It’ll get better, to put the time and effort into making it better…I just reminded him know that I know. It looks bad right now, but it can turn around.”
Apparently, it worked. The man agreed to come down from 22nd floor rooftop to be greeted by TI in the lobby. Police have decided not to press charges against him.
Authorities seemed pleased that the Atlanta celebrity was able to coax the man down. One officer was quoted as saying “…We’re happy it ended the way it did, and we thank him.”
As you may know, the rapper is facing some serious legal consequences for his recent drug possession arrest. Fans were heartbroken to learn that the recently reformed recording artist and his wife were busted in LA. Though this episode will likely have no effect on the outcome of a probation hearing Friday, it does sprinkle a little positive PR for him into the news cycle.
Check out some photos and video related to TI talking the suicidal man down from an Atlanta building below.

While the current (non-celebrity) edition of The Apprentice plays out to record low ratings, fans of absurdity and stars being forced into awesomely ridiculous scenarios can rejoice in the fact that filming on the next Celebrity Apprentice is set to begin in New York City early next week. Not only that, but a source close to production has confirmed to EW.com exclusively three of the famous faces vying for Donald Trump’s love (and money): La Toya Jackson, Mark McGrath, and Star Jones.
Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya certainly has experience on reality TV. In 2007, she — along with people like Erik Estrada and Jack Osbourne — trained to become a Muncie, Indiana reserve police officer on CBS’ Armed & Famous. Then, in 2009, she followed in her brother Jermaine’s footsteps by appearing in the UK on Celebrity Big Brother, where she shared a house with the likes of Verne Troyer and Coolio.
Mark McGrath, best known as the lead singer of rock band Sugar Ray and a former co-host of Extra, also has a background in reality, serving as a guest judge on American Idol, and as host of not one, but two Pussycat Dolls-related reality shows: The Search for the Next Doll and Girlicious. He also currently hosts the syndicated version of Don’t Forget the Lyrics.
And then there is Star Jones. Outside of an appearance last year on a celebrity version of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? (which, like The Apprentice, is a Mark Burnett production), Jones has been out of the spotlight since her nine-year run as a co-host on The View ended in 2006. (She did also manage to host a season 2 reunion episode of The Bad Girls Club.) Jones, Jackson, and McGrath will be three of the contestants on the fourth installment of Celebrity Apprentice, which will air in the first quarter of 2011. Expect more names to leak soon once the cast arrives in New York City in the next few days. Who else would you like to see in the Boardroom? And what do you think of these first three contestants? Hit the message boards and let us know.

I really think that broadcast networks’ interest in reality shows are wearing out; Apprentice, Biggest Loser and even Extreme Makeover Home Edition have lost viewers with huge drops of 20,30 or 50 percent in ratings the past few new shows. I like Donald’s Apprentice, but his overusage of celebrities on the spring shows have ruined the overall show when they had ordinary people competing. It was fresh the first few years, but it’s not as exciting now.

Not so fast. As long as it costs 1/2 to make a reality show they will continue. If Celeb Apprentice fails, Trump will turn around and create another reality show. I agree, they’re getting old and actually they’re running out of celebrities….do you notice? It’s like recycling the same ones over and over.
Reply Elizabeth Tue 10/12/10 8:18 AM
I think the audiences’ interest is waining as well, but the networks will continue to pump these out due to lost costs.
It would be nice to see a reality show get the ax after one episode or two due to low ratings. Seems to be fine for scripted television…

That has happened quite a bit

I think I might have to pass with Star Jones in the cast. There will have to be someone else that is really intriguing to get me to tune in this time.
Reply Joe Tue 10/12/10 7:58 AM
Please, please, please….let Kathy Griffin be in the cast. A Star Jones vs Kathy Griffin catfight is just too delicious to pass up!!
Reply pinky Tue 10/12/10 9:08 AM
Kathy would be a great addition! I would tune in for that show.

Ugh! Star Jones and Latoya Jackson? Sounds like they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel for this one.
Reply Elizabeth Tue 10/12/10 8:19 AM
Welcome to reality television… someone with a viable career isn’t going to participate.
Reply JoshP Tue 10/12/10 8:29 AM
Latoya Jackson?! Wow that’s diggin some one out the grave.
Reply Julia Tue 10/12/10 8:48 AM
Star Jones really has become desperate!
Reply ugly nikki Tue 10/12/10 8:59 AM
Star is a smart lady with a law degree. I’d put her bottom of the barrel credentials against most of yours any day.
Reply waya Tue 10/12/10 9:03 AM
They need some bigger names than Star Jones and Latoya! I still like The Apprentice, but this season it is on at an odd time for me and I always miss it.
Reply drayche Tue 10/12/10 9:33 AM
I think the perfect person for Celebrity apprentice would be Andre Agassi…
