Perez Hilton Vows To Stop Bullying Celebs On 'Ellen' - MTV.com

Perez Hilton has an infamous reputation for criticizing, outing and even engaging in altercations with celebrities. But the recent surge of teen suicides due to harassment and bullying has served as a wake-up call for the blogger. In a Wednesday (October 13) appearance on "Ellen," Hilton announced that he no longer wants to be perceived in a negative light and has ended his star-bashing ways.

Prior to the blogger announcing his pledge, host Ellen DeGeneres revealed that many advised her to pass on Hilton's appearance on her show. But she said she believed in second changes and applauded the star for admitting his wrongdoings.

"Over the last two weeks, I have been doing everything I can to bring awareness to the issue of teen suicides and gay bullying," Hilton told DeGeneres. "In doing so, a lot of people have called me a hypocrite and a bully myself and a big one. That's not how I want to be perceived, and that's not what I want to put out there into the world. It was a big wake-up call that so many people saw me that way, so from now on I really want to be part of the solution and not part of the problem."

Known for giving celebrities not-so-nice nicknames and drawing rather inappropriate things on their pictures, Perez said he's going to try to use his smarts and wit to keep his viewers entertained.

"I want to be the change that I want to see in others. I'm going to do things differently on my website than I have in the past," the celebrity blogger said. "I'm not going to call people nasty nicknames. I'm not going to go the mean route. I'm going to force myself to try and be funnier or smarter or just do things different, not doodle inappropriate things, not out people, which I have done all of those things in the past."

When asked why he continued his harsh commentary when he knew he'd hurt people, Perez told the host that he kept making up excuses to justify his actions. One of those many excuses included his argument that celebrities are adults and essentially signed themselves up to be criticized and judged in front of the world.

DeGeneres countered the star's claim, suggesting that even though adults spew negativity at each other, it gives everyone the impression that it is OK to do the same among their peers.

Hilton said that he has grown as a person since his early gossip days. "I was 26 when I started my website, and I'm going to be 33 now," he said. "I've grown and evolved as a person, and I think it's time for my website to grow and evolve and change as well."

Ultimately, Perez knows his errors and is looking forward to a brighter future that includes being a representative for the gay community. "I want to be able continue to speak out on the gay bullying and teen suicides," he said, "and I want to be able to go to the gay rallies and the marches, like I have in the past, and not have people in my own community feel ashamed about me or embarrassed. I have started and I've already started to do things differently, and it was scary and wasn't easy, but I feel like it was the right thing to do for myself and the world."

Photog: I'm Partly to Blame for Hilton Hit-n-Run - TMZ.com

9/30/2010 3:30 PM PDT by TMZ Staff   Paris Hilton's boyfriend isn't the only one to blame for last night's vehicular run-in with a female photog on the Sunset Strip -- TMZ has learned the shutterbug is actually admitting partial fault in the matter.

The photog -- Carol Williams -- tells us, "I admit I am at fault as much as him" ... adding that she shouldn't have been "out in the middle of the street" in the first place.

Williams is also shedding light on why she thinks Hilton's BF Cy Waits drove away from Boa Steakhouse after the incident -- saying, "After he rolled over my foot, he rolled the window down and asked if I was fine ... someone else answered for me and said 'yes' and he drove off."

As we previously reported, Waits was cited for a hit-and-run -- and Williams was treated for injuries to her leg.

Williams tells us she's still a big fan of Paris and notes, "I want to take responsibility for my actions.”

Paris Hilton has ANOTHER late night brush with the law - Daily Mail

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 7:41 PM on 30th September 2010

She's been hitting the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons.

And now Paris Hilton may find herself at the centre of  a hit-and-run investigation after boyfriend Cy Waits allegedly hit a photographer outside of Boa restaurant in West Hollywood last night.

Witnesses say the female photographer was knocked to the pavement, but when Waits asked if she was OK,  another photographer responded assuring him she was fine and told him to go.

Waits subsequently returned to the scene after dropping Hilton at her home and later on police were spotted giving him a field sobriety test.

According to RadarOnline, Waits was detained, but later released. He was given a citation and will appear in court at a later date.

Paramedics took the photographer to a local hospital for a cut on her right shin.

Hilton, 29, took to Twitter later and although she made no specific mention of the incident, she seemed to lay blame for the accident on the photographer herself.

'Lovely evening with friends and family ruined by aggressive paparazzi,' she Tweeted. 'They are literally insane!' Paris Hilton

Paris has been quite the adventurer recently.

She was arrested in Las Vegas last month for cocaine possession after being pulled over by police who suspected her boyfriend Cy Waits was driving under the influence.

Waits was arrested for DUI, and Paris Hilton was found to have just under a gram of cocaine in her purse.

She insisted that neither the purse nor the cocaine belonged to her.

But Paris was charged and given one year's suspended jail sentence, a $2,000 fine and 200 hours of community service as part of a plea deal.

As a result, Waits was fired from the Wynn and Paris was banned from all Wynn properties.

Hours after her court appearance, the socialite flew to Japan with sister Nicky Hilton to debut their fall/winter fashion collections.

But she found herself being detained and quizzed for six hours at Tokyo's Narita International Airport over the recent arrest and conviction of cocaine possession and obstructing justice.

The sisters were finally sent back to the U.S without being allowed to visit Tokyo.

Paris also caused controversy this week after pictures from 2007 surfaced of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan injecting what appeared to be heroin into her arm.

Other photographs from the same set showed Lohan partying with socialite Paris, and the two of them passionately kissing and cuddling.

But Paris Hilton looked as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth earlier on last night at Arcade Boutique's 'The Autumn Party' in West Hollywood.

The 29-year-old looked poised and demure at the event, more like an heiress than a Hollywood party girl.

In her classy black dress and understated hair and make-up, she was every inch the well-behaved lady.

Strike a pose: Bonnie Somerville and Demi Lovato were also at last night's event, looking polished and elegant
