‘Bachelorette’ ‘stars’ Ali Fedotowsky, Emily Maynard, and Ashley Hebert, together at last — POLL

I wasn’t exactly dying to know why Bachelorettes Ali, Emily, and Ashley were hanging out together — and then I died a little inside when I accidentally learned they’d just enjoyed a “day of beauty and pampering.” I need to stop reading the words on the pages. It’s always a mistake.

Big poll coming up. Huge. “I have to go shopping now….” Vote below.

‘Bridesmaids’ duo lands CBS comedy pilot

BEN-FALCONE Image Credit: WireImage.com

CBS has ordered a comedy pilot from the married Bridesmaids duo Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy.

Falcone played Air Marshall Jon in the hit comedy, which of course co-starred his real-life spouse McCarthy.

The untitled CBS project has Falcone starring and co-writing the project, with McCarthy (who also stars on CBS’ Mike & Molly) executive producing. The pitch: “Comedy series about a single 37-year-old man (Falcone) who loses everything he has in the real estate collapse and finds himself back home in the house he grew up in with his parents.” Larry Dorf (Mad TV) is also a co-writer on the project.

Chelsea Handler talks about her own teen abortion on ‘The Rosie Show’: ‘I wouldn’t be a good mother’

Chelsea Handler has never been known to mince words, but off-handed jokes about heavy drinking and promiscuity somehow seem a far cry from the candor she brought to an interview on The Rosie Show yesterday. Among other things, Handler discussed the tough decision she had to make after finding out she was pregnant at age 16. ”I was so delusional,” Handler told O’Donnell. “I was like, ‘I’m ready for a baby!’”

Her parents had a different opinion, telling her, ”You’re throwing your entire life away,” and insisting she have an abortion. Twenty years later Handler has made her peace with the decision, admitting “I wouldn’t be a good mother.” When O’Donnell mentioned the ongoing debate over Roe v. Wade, Handler insisted, “You should do whatever you want with your body and you shouldn’t let anyone tell you what to do.” She added, “I have no regret at all.”

What do you think, PopWatchers? Do you appreciate Handler’s openness about this tough subject? In terms of raising awareness and opening up discussion, is it more effective when someone who makes her living being funny gets serious?

‘The Vampire Diaries:’ Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec weigh in on Caroline and Stefan shippers

If you’ve seen the exclusive pictures we posted from tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, then you know that we’re in for a heavy dose of romantic tension between Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena (Nina Dobrev), and Stefan (Paul Wesley), as well as Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

But when I spoke to executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson for this week’s cover story (be honest, how many times have you ogled the images?), I couldn’t help but ask them about another potential pairing: Stefan and Caroline.

I know what you’re thinking. The two of them have barely shared any screen time since season 2, when Stefan helped Caroline adjust to being a vampire. But when they did, it was so good. Turns out, I’m not the only one who noticed. Williamson revealed he’s well aware of the chemistry between the two characters and he’d like to see their relationship evolve. ”We touched on that in the second season a little bit. We always know it’s there, and if anything, I yearn to see some more moments between them as friends,” says Williamson, who also points out that Caroline has chemistry with practically every guy in Mystic Falls. “There’s a lot of shipping to do for her.” Tell me about it.

For Plec, Caroline’s relationship with Stefan is reminiscent of his friendship with Lexie (Arielle Kebbel), the vampire who helped him find his humanity throughout the years, until she was eventually killed by Damon. ”We’ve always said that Caroline — even if we don’t play it on the forefront, but in the life of the series — is Lexie,” explains Plec. “It’s only a matter of time before that friendship is allowed to grow and be fostered.”

Welsey too acknowledged that though eternal love is with Elena, there are sparks with Caroline. ”I think she definitely brings the jovial side out of Stefan,” he says. “I think it could be a nice match, but I don’t know how long-lasting it is. Maybe he can have a little fling. Although that might be unforgivable. One of Elena’s best friends.”

Fans rooting for Stefan to work things out with Elena, or those waiting to see what develops between Caroline and Klaus/Tyler/Matt (take your pick!), don’t need to worry quite yet though. With so many relationships already swirling around Mystic Falls, it seems pretty unlikely that Stefan and Caroline will pick up anytime soon. ”Right now, for the rest of this season, we’re trying to get Stefan back on track with his relationship with Elena, and in his relationship with his brother,” says Plec. “Once we see how that plays out, we’ll see if he needs a friend, a shoulder to cry on, or if he’s gonna be back with Elena.”
