LeAnn Rimes Congratulates Her Ex on His Engagement - People Magazine

Slightly more than a year after Dean Sheremet and LeAnn Rimes separated after seven years of marriage, he is set to give marriage another go – with his new fiancé, photographer Sarah Silver, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

And Rimes's reaction?

"Congrats to @deansheremet and @sarah_silver on your engagement!," the Grammy winner, 28, Tweeted Saturday. "A little birdie told me the happy news last night. Wishes for a life full of happiness."

To those who might doubt her sincerity, Rimes adds: "my congrats is from my heart. Sorry if you don't understand it. I do not need the publicity, I get plenty. please stop passing [judgment]."

Sheremet is a chef at Manhattan's Nobu 57 and pens his own food blog.

His engagement comes right on the heels of Rimes's own engagement rumors.

More than a year since her relationship with Eddie Cibrian made headlines – Rimes has admitted to being unfaithful to Sheremet with Cibrian – Rimes says there is no ring on her finger from Cibrian – yet.

"Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all," she wrote in an extended Tweet.

"Hopefully will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's before the world knows."
